Traditionally a day to look ahead and set goals,
it seems appropriate to first look back
with gratitude for the blessings of the year past.
This New Year's Day hundreds of photos remind me of the
tender mercies of the Lord
and the wonderful blessing of family.

While I have reviewed and updated the goals found here,
for today,
I prefer to remember
the late nights and laughs,
the safe arrivals and departures,
the jobs found and kept,
the school completed and continued,
the moves across town and across country,
the health crises averted and recovered from,
the prayers requested and granted,
kisses and hugs from little ones
and
the love of family and friends.
May the New Year
continue to bring us all
